Pediatric Urologist

I just gave birth on the 19th of March to an adorable (and chubby) little boy. He needs to see a pediatric urologist due to a small medical issue. I am willing to travel anywhere in north and central NJ. Any recommendations? I know of one person in Morristown, but she doesn't seem to have very good reviews at all. Any recommendations would be great. Thanks!

Recommendations from last year:

Dr. John Connor on James Street in Morristown. He is a pediatric specialist. (973) 539-0333. My son had hypospadias and Dr. Connor did an perfect job fixing the issue. He is also great with calming your fears and explaining what it will take to correct the issue. He also has a great bed side manner with the kids.

Have you looked into CHOP? They have satellite offices outside Phila so it's possible you could see a CHOP specialist without having to travel to Phila.

Thank you GC. My fault, normally I do scan previous threads.

Dre- I saw his name online and noticed good reviews, but I also noticed on the website for his office that in regards to insurance I would have to pay out of network. Was this something you encountered?

3wb- I haven't looked into CHOP yet. My son's issue is fairly minor (His pediatrician didn't recommend getting circumcised right away due to skin being too tight and wants a specialist to look at it), so I was trying to find something "local". If they have satellite offices I am more than open to it. My nephew goes to Hershey Medical, but his issue is more severe (he was born w/2 ureters).

I second Dr. Connor. I have a 6 month old who has a small problem and Dr. Connor has been great. I actually had to go to the emergency room in Hackettstown recently and the nurse's daughter has been going to Dr. Connor for almost 15 years

when my son was a baby he had an issue as well and we used dr. chester stone in succasunna. don't know if he is still there as this was quite some time ago, son is now 20, but he was recommended back then by our pediatrician and we were quite pleased.

Also say Dr. Connor I believe he saved my daughter's life 16 years ago! He is absolutely the best. He still monitors her once a year.

Dr. Connor is the best in NJ!

We also use Dr.Connor - can't recommend him highly enough. He is fantastic, and very caring. Yes, he does not take insurance, but they will still submit the bill to your insurance company. If you have out-of-network benefits, then the insurance company will reimburse you for whatever portion they cover.

John Connor, in Morristown, excellent, but doesn't take alot of insurance, I paid out of pocket, but when it comes to your kids, money isn't the issue.

I've always brought my daughter to dr gellman in Denville. He's got great bedside manor and my daughter loved him from day one (she's 14 now).

Dr Hanna in Livingston.

Couldn't use Dr. Connor bc of insurance so we used Dr. Clemente and she was great. So was all the staff at the office and the medical center where my son had his procedure.
The ped in the hospital should have given you a list or ask your current ped for a list of ped uros.
