Water heater disposal

My husband just replaced our defunct water heater and now it needs to be disposed of. Any suggestions or advice on who will come to get it? We don't have a truck or trailer. Thanks for your help!

When we replaced ours a few years ago I posted it on freecycle for scrap. It got picked up pretty quick.

You didn't say what town you are in but if it's in the Town of Hackettstown, DPW picks it up for free. You just have to call them, 852-2320.

There is also a guy in Mansfield... Dudley 908-684-3585.

Ok back to water heater talk, thanks

If you pay for garbage through Sanico for 20 bucks they will take it away.

Did you get a plumbing permit for the new water heater? Just make sure you don't leave the old one sitting by the curb to long. It's been known that inspectors have questioned people about permits when they see old ones sitting outside.

I'm glad I was chosen. Now I can finally afford to get that merkin that I've been dreaming about.
