Is there a lawyer in the house?

I have a question and was wondering if you could help. It's about a volunteer position and defamation of character.
Or does someone know of a lawyer that specializes in this type of work.

Volunteer as in charity work or politics? Tough to prove financial harm, I would think. ( but I'm not a lawyer )
Guideline:
Defamation of character occurs when someone makes a false statement about you that causes you some type of harm. The statement must be published (meaning some third party must have heard it), false, and it must result in harm, usually to the reputation.

I'm sure you could get a free consult. Just look for lawyers that don't specialize in, say, real estate, divorce, etc.
