Less stinkbugs this year?
seemed to come in waves this year - some at the beginning of the summer/spring, then few for a long while, then a flood last month
Last winter did a nice job in slowing stink bugs down.
I would estimate we did 25% less stink bug infestations this year.
The real "bugger" this pest seasons was yellow jackets! Followed by carpenter ants and cave crickets. We are anticipating more mouse calls this winter based on how many summer mice problems we handled this summer. Weather patterns play a large roll in who thrives. We have found harsh snowy winters bring more pest problems as a whole, why?? The ground is insulated by the snow cover. Not the case for stink bugs though. Their harborages are in trees and houses. Another tough winter and we should see another decline in stink bug numbers.

Maybe they flew south with the hummingbirds. As long as they have moved on or died, I am thrilled. I can deal with a few but not what we had in the past.
