The power is out in Great Meadows Anyone know what happened??

According to the First Energy website 501-1500 people are out of power in GM. Emergency equipment repair is underway. Service is expected to be restored by 9 am.

First Energy site now indicates restore time of 10:30 AM due to tree damage along Pequest Rd.

Tree was down on route 46 by the old train restaurant.

I stopped by Nykun's store around 8 Sunday morning on the way home from work and was wondering why it was closed. Then drove further west on 46 and saw the JCP&L crews at work on the trees. Many trees along that portion of 46 are literally leaning above/over the power lines. Power outages just waiting to happen...
