Old Camera-what is it?

Old Camera-what is it?

I found this in my basement. Anyone know what it is?

Isn't that a 3D camera?

Sure is - Davide White Realist. Ever see those old stereo cards? That camera could make them. They're not as old as the 1890-1900's steropticon types. But still interesting specialist camera.

Cool. Thx. I'll see if I can sell it.

Your problem with selling it is the condition. That looks bad and pretty much takes most of the value. Probably not worth the cost to ship it somewhere.

That's what I thought too. I put them on eBay. We shall see. Can't hurt to try.

It's a good thing eBay listing costs have changed. The Brownie isn't worth listing, you can get those in unopened boxes from the 70's for $10, $5 in brand new condition without the box. And there are dozens for sale that are like they day they were made. Someone's not going to bid on that condition in comparison.

However, the stereo camera you never know if someone might take a chance if it's cheap enough. My guess is no sale, but that at least I would give a shot.

Yeah, no charge for listing so that's why I thought I would try. I put up the brownie for 0.99. Lol. Worth a shot.

My wife has an old bellows type camera in fair condition. It is worth Shipping Costs to someone who would use it as a decorative conversation piece.

Embryodad - That depends. Some of the old 35mm size cameras had bellows and folded up. Some of those are worth far more than that just for the lens. Others are basically worthless. The bellows type that is a view camera (think Ansel Adams type) can be worth $500 or more.
