A Kind Soul
Yesterday I was sitting in a handicap cart full of groceries in the front entrance of Mansfield Shop Rite waiting for the deluge to slow down so I could get to my car.
A young woman approached me and told me that she was going to help me. I was very surprised since this never happened before. She gave me her umbrella and told me to go to my car and drive it over to the entrance. When I did she un-
loaded the cart into the trunk. I thanked her very much. Without her help I would have been soaked to the skin. I do not know her name and had never seen her before.
I hope she sees this and knows how grateful I am. I think this might have been my Guardian Angel in disguise.
That's awesome. Random acts of kindness are far and few between and deserve recognition.
This was refreshing to read, glad someone was there to help you. I always like to believe there are many good people out there, thank you for confirming it.
This is such a nice post to read. There are so many good and helpful people in the world, and I'm happy you got the help you needed Dolores!
I think what is rare is someone taking the time to acknowledge a random act of kindness. Of course I don't think it needs to be recognized ( we were always told it didn't count if you did something nice and told about it) Very nice that Dolores took the time to validate this act of kindness.
Absolutely wonderful. I don't know what else to say. There are still human beings around.
People are usually in too much of a rush to think of doing such a kind favor in today's world.
It's funny how bad weather can bring out the good in people.
So happy that someone took the few minutes out of their time to make such a difference in your day. If we all (including myself) did more of this each day that 'pay it forward' concept would make such a huge difference in the world.
I hope it's payed forward to the person who helped out....many times over
Flat tire! Tried to pull down from a hill to change it. Having a bit of a hard time slight incline. Nice young man drove by in his pick up. Got out and changed it for us. Refused money twice. Said "just donate to the fire department." THANK YOU! Yes, I do donate to the fire department. Still people out there willing to help others.
How heart warming to hear there are still kind people around. It's so easy to forget, when reading headlines. Bravo to this young man and the family that raised him so well.
