The Judgment Night soundtrack (1993) deserves its own post. One of the most forgettable movies ever, with a soundtrack that paired metal bands with rappers for some of the heaviest stuff of the day:
Helmet and House of Pain - Just Another Victim

Biohazard and Onyx - Judgment Night

of all the great bands from the 90's my number one fave is an easy choice. I managed to see them one time at the Asbury Convention Center with Creed. OLP were so amazing I left after a few songs by creed.
I will post one song from their first three albums
from Naveed album 1995 ---- Starseed
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O94CW_tIEzU
from Clumsy 1997 ---- 4am [ awesome live version ]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meXuKb-bq6Q
from Happiness Is Not a Fish You Can Catch 1999 ---- One Man Army [entertaining vid ]
http://www.metrolyrics.com/one-man-army-our-lady-peace-ml-video-bas.html
Truly good music is always being made, but rarely popular and yet on occasion the popular music also happens to be the good music. Such was the case with much from the 1990s. Some of these bands formed years earlier but were hitting new strides and others were just getting started, but to name a few of the truly noteworthy off the top of my head:
REM
Smashing Pumpkins
Radiohead
Nirvana
Counting Crowes
10,000 Maniacs / Natalie Merchant
Mazzy Star
Toad the Wet Sprocket
Alice in Chains
Pearl Jam
U2
Foo Fighters
Beck
Green Day
and so many others I'm not thinking of...
Moist
another Canadian 90's band I really like. and again 3 songs one from each of their albums
Silver cd 1994 .... Push

Ahhhhh yeah! Such a great time for hardcore and punk and music in general. Here are a few for you old farts...
Sick Of It All - Step Down
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6RkyxNa2W9o
Stillsuit - Bicycle for two
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVoptKZvc30
Small Brown Bike - The Cold
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5naN5ddCSE
Quicksand - Delusional
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QpHEQuJCL8
eperot - That's a walk down memory lane there. Such great music - and since I was in college in the early 90's, my friends and I listened to it non-stop.
The 90's were also known as the end (as far as I'm concerned) of some really good artists: Van Halen, Mellencamp, lots of hair metal bands (yes, I was a fan).
One band I saw at Rutgers never made it really huge but they were great to watch up close:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onjaC3A2xjk&feature=kp
School of Fish - 3 Strange Days
Live - Throwing Copper was also a great album that I blasted constantly. My ears rung for a week after seeing them at the Stone Pony in ~94.
40 posts in and nary a mention of Death Row Records? I'll kick it off...
Dr Dre - Nothin but a G Thang
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gK1e2TCFAA
Snoop Dogg - Gin and Juice
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTSbkJk0o2k
No hating or bullying on a music thread, please.
Each of us likes what he or she likes, nobody should be afraid to post something out of fear that someone else won't like it.
To the person who used the term old farts ... one day you will be a senior citizen and someone will call you an old fart. It is inevitable. Just be glad you lived long enough to be called one.
Who's hating and bullying? I consider myself an old fart that can also take a joke Andy. Oh no! Is saying "old fart" considered bullying now? Do I need to take an anti-bullying class?
People are unbelievable, but that's a separate thread.
Hatebreed - Empty Promises
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u31fJqBJdVs
I think the biggest hit of the 90's was Adam Duritz, lead singer of Counting Crows, dating both Courtney Cox and Jennifer Aniston during their Friends "prime years."
An honorable mention has to go to Fred Durst... what other balding, 5'7" guy from the '90s has both Britney and Christina on his resume?
Cher was in her 50s when she had a number one hit with this ...
Believe

LJRubi, WOW that brings back memories! I saw them at the chattam church cira 94 or 95 with 25 TA Life, Texas and a few other bands. time to dust off the vinly and listen to some old hardcore and punk.
Let's keep it going... dust off your best Lawnmower moves (-;
Madball - Demonstrating My Style
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AP08IgrzAwI
Sick of it All - Scratch the Surface
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=X7buLbpLMCw
LJRubi, funny you added orange 9 b/c when I went to YouTube that was the first band I watched! Then I watch a bunch of the revelation 25th anniversary shows. I can still remember going to sound effects for new music Tuesday and buying vinyl's.
Revelation had some of the best bands in the 90's. Music will never be as good as 90's hardcore and punk was!
One of the best hardcore albums of the 90's, Vision of Disorder...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnPwX6NWlHo
Can't leave this classic album out...pick any song. They are all great.
Life of Agony... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKB8XKSMq30
Totally love Life of Agony - the first album was 100% all the way through, "Through and Through". ;-)
Underground from Headbangers's Ball -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRT0Z-BpKJY
But they have other good material too.
"Lost at 22" Live:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfAHmJI_vhM
And now for something completely different in 6/8 time (??):
Stone the Crow - Down
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBLbrJxGtro
From Phil Anselmo's side project to Layne Staley's...
Mad Season - River of Deceit
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Fm72DPJCX58
iPhone-imal - To me the sound is so McCreedy I think of him first. Staley made the vocals so solid, it could be more of a better Pearl Jam.
Neither of those two would be completely without the other Seattle side project:
Say Hello 2 Heaven - Temple of the Dog
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyVTdY2BI3g
If not for Andrew Wood overdosing on heroin, there never would have been TOTD and possibly no Pearl Jam either...
Mother Love Bone - Stardog Champion
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AygDSO7F4dc
Technically, this probably belongs in the '80s thread, but the studio album wasn't released until 1990 (-;
