Live cams
I thought I'd start a thread with a few of my favorite wildlife livecams - and see if anyone else enjoys them -
first: a hummingbird in San Diego I believe- she makes and fills several nests each season - nest is the size of a golf ball and eggs are the size of beans -
http://phoebeallens.com/
one of my favorites - have watched and chatted for over 3 1/2 years - a live eagle cam - on an island off an island off Vancouver Island, British Columbia
http://www.hornbyeagles.com/HEGPSchat.htm
Lets see what you can add
I have this cam to look at every morning and Praise the lord.
The scene changes all the time. They are just finishing up the beach replenishments there with 500 million of your money.

It helped the other day, big time. My wife was afraid to drive in to work, and was upset because school delayed openings were being announced on WRNJ, but she had to go to work.
I got on the WFMZ-TV (Lehigh Valley channel 69) traffic web cams which showed the roads were plowed and traffic was moving everywhere ... she felt a lot better and headed for work without whining.
If you listen to the radio people, you'd be scared to walk out the door on such mornings.
one of the best - went viral 2 years ago: http://www.ustream.tv/decoraheagles
live eagle cam from Iowa - right next to a fish hatchery
yw - phoebeallens is always very active - nests in someone's backyard - before one group fledges, she is building the next nest - usually if not always in rose bushes
cornell u. has a number of great cams - not all on live just now http://cams.allaboutbirds.org/
Another great site for eagle watchers is www.hancockwildlife.org Here you can find a few eagle cams. White Rock is my favorite. Beautiful eagles that nest in a tree on a cliff and the scenery is stunning...especially the sunsets over Boundary Bay. Duke Farms, here in NJ also has a cam, that should be back up and running this year. Another great one is www.wildearth.tv . There is a cam set up at a watering hole in Africa ( i think ) where you can see all different kinds of animals. So many to choose from out there. Enjoy!
yes white rock is beautiful - yay wildearth - great things to observe and learn about - If you go to the hornby page and scroll down there are links to all sorts of cameras all over the world
Wildearth has great cams - "Djuma Waterhole" is the South African nature reserve, "Pete's Pond" is similar but in Botswana. There's also one that I don't remember that takes a "nature walk" twice a day with a mobile camera pointing out all the wildlife.
I wish they had a live cam looking down main street USA in the Magic Kingdom at Disney World

Thanks 5catmom! I have seen that website before. Although it is not a 'live' webcam, it'll have to do for now until I go there again.

Too sweet!!! Thanks for sharing the link 5cat. I logged on at 3am last night and saw a contraction. :-) So beautiful to see the tiny ones.
it is also fun and interesting to watch their other cameras - as they work with the pups and then train them to be mobility service dogs......
if you like eagles and want to see huge numbers in for the herring - the scene the past few days has be amazing - we don't know where our regular pair are right now and visitors have been all over the territory - in British Columbia http://www.hornbyeagles.com/HEGPSchat.htm

Somehow my earlier post about Discover Magazine's Blog post about the live cam of a pair of Bald Eagle eggs hatching didn't post. Here's the link:
http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/d-brief/2016/03/17/baby-bald-eagle-hatching-in-washington-d-c/#.VuryQ-Y4hLO
If you go to the sponsoring website they have a few links on their front page for more live cameras of eagles:
www.eagles.org
MSN now has a story up and other links to live cams of the pair of Bald Eagle eggs hatching at the U.S. National Arboretum in DC:

http://hdontap.com/index.php/video/stream/great-horned-owl-cam-2
There are multiple cams on this link. This one is of Great horned owls that have grown so incredibly fast and will probably be fledging soon. But I really like this website because it allows everyone to comment and post pictures, even has facebook pages for each of them. And they have infrared cameras for night time viewing. And most have sound as well.
