Christening Luncheon

We are christening our son in September on a Saturday afternoon. Wr are trying to find a place to have a luncheon afterward. Any suggestions in the Hackettstown, Lon Valley, Chester, Mansfield area?

We live in Long Valley and the church is also in Long Valley and would like to stay local.

thanks

Mattars is really nice for that. I went to a Christening there and it was perfect.

Go see Tim at Valley restaurant. He does catering - and you can use the back room for a private party.

The Brew Pub will accommodate a large group, dont know if they do special menus or anything, but I have know people who have gone to private events there.....also, if you like Bensi, they have a private area behind the bar - the manager there is very helpful. His name is Tony. And Congratulations!

Redwoods in Cehster is good - they can section off an area for your party...we've done it before! Talk to Jim Asmund in catering...he is wonderful!

I had my son's after party at Mattar's for his christening in December. Mr. Mattar was a lovely man, very accomodating. The staff was amazing and the meal was delicious. I would recommend Mattar's!

I've been to the Pump House for several occasions like this and thought it was very good.
The owner (Eileen) is also very nice.

What about Prickly Pear?

Prickly Pear can accomodate that size party easily and Linda is very helpful. I booked an affair there and recommend the marscapone cake...yummy!!!

Pump House at one time was very good too...but the last few times we had dinner there, the food was disappointing. Eileen is great, but the food has gone downhill.

Charlie Brown's is great, also the golf course (can't remember the name) right over the bridge from the Golden Skillet. Very reasonable and they do a great job!

Bella Giorno's, the golf course (can't remember when I went, but it was nice), Charlie Brown's has a few rooms and banquet room upstairs, and how about the Elk's?

Oh I just thought of another one...not sure how the food is since I have not been there in quite some time, but what about Bell's Mansion? It could be cute to have the reception with a gathering in one of the quaint rooms. Here are a few pictures (copy/paste the link):
