7/24 Happy Hour - Bensi

Just a reminder about the next Happy Hour on Thursday 7/24. The specials are:

$3 domestic bottles (that doesn't really seem all that great), prices are good until 7 pm.

I look forward to seeing everyone. Hoping to see some new faces this time as well.

Please post any suggestions for the next (8/7) HH location here. John C has suggested that we return to Smokehouse. If we don't have any "new" location suggestions, will schedule Smokehouse for the next one.

How about Villa Venice - happy Hour $ are $2 domestic, $3 Import, $3 margaritas & 1/2 price appetizers.

Just an FYI... Charlie Brown's has $2 domestic pints and $2 mojitos all day Thursdays.

Last couple of visits to CB's the Bud and Bud light pints had a kind of "funky smell" that made me switch back to bottles. Too much CO2 maybe?

Col, Villa Venice is a great idea. Great location for me and our Great Meadows and Liberty people. Are any others willing to go Rt. 46 that far?

ianimal, CB's was our first HH location...I like the sound of the $2 mojitos. We'll have to put it in the rotation for a 2nd time through.

John, possbile the kegs got skunked....nasty!

Draft beer tends to get funky when it sits unrefrigerated in the lines between the keg and the tap stanchion. Depending on how long the lines are (and how popular the brand is), the first two or three pulls off the tap are usually pretty ripe at opening. The Miller Lite has never given me a problem there.

Villa Venice is only 3 miles from my house--yea!! :)

I may be at Bensi depending on how grueling my day is. How will I know who/where the group is? Is there any sort of sign at your table or some sort of identifying marker?

Villa Venice is on Route 46 in Liberty about a mile or so west of St. Peter and Paul Church in Great Meadows. I've never been in there, so someone else will have to say if it's "kid friendly" or not.

Villa Venice is definitely kid friendly. We eat there about once a week or so. Its a nice casual place. They have a tv in the dining room, and a goldfish tank that the kids love to see with the big googely-eyed goldfish. I've never been in the bar. Its just a small sit-up bar. With a big group and kids in tow, we could just group tables in the dining room. I've seen people in there with drinks.

Not sure if I will make it tonight, Calico... I'm in pain and its not getting better like I hoped it would today. Hopefully it will be better by this afternoon.

Another redhead? Uh-oh.... we could be trouble! I'm a redhead, too!

We had a very surprising appearance by someone tonight. But i'll keep you guys guessing until later. Calico's BF took a good pic so i'm sure she'll be posting it soon. Bensi's was very nice to us. Hooked us up with free wings - and they were GOOD! I dedicated my first drink to Christine!

Bensi's Happy Hour was fun!!! Thanks Calico696,BF,Bryan and ........(mystery guest)for the friendly welcome. Looking forward to the next HH. The Dark Knight movie was great!! Sounds like the concert was good also. Look for Batman to be online sometime soon. Welcome back Christine!!!
