Christine IS admitted to the hospital...Post your get well wishes!

I just talked to Christine just for a few minutes. I don't want to put too much of her personal information on the board, but feel free to email me.

SHE was admitted last night with chest pain. She has a clot. She's on blood thinners and pain meds, on oxygen, etc. Her cardiologist is taking good care of her...CatScan, etc right now. She is kind of out of it.

And she's sitting there worried that it's TOO hot for anyone to pick up trash today. Always thinking of others!

Feel free to post any wishes to her here and I'll get them to her or read them to her.

I'm sure everyone's prayers are out to her and wish her all the best. Times like this, all the little things on the board seem so insignificant, don't they?

Update: She is really not feeling well right now, which is understandable...

She says thanks to everyone for the well wishes. She appreciates it. I am seriously worried. Just trying to keep her spirits up!
Keep up the prayers everyone.

She said earlier she is suffering from withdrawals not being able to be on the forum. I think it's just not covered under her health plan! She's probably asking for a laptop, stat! (right Christine?) ;)

Update: of course she didn't sleep last night. You know how they check you every 10 mins. She has a fever this morning. (and she knows the only "prescription is more cow bell"...I think she got one on purpose!) Eh, got a few chuckles out of her, but know how serious this is. Told her how many nice people sent well wishes. This is so nice! Then again, I knew that everyone would be kind. Keep her in your thoughts. Let's keep everyone in our thoughts, because we all know someone that needs a prayer or special thought.

My husband has gone through this several times since he was 18..he has a blood disorder. It is difficult and scary but seeing your strong personality through this forum, I know you will get through this. Feel better soon and stay strong!

Well, she was having candy tonight! LOL. She hates the food. She's still having tests.

She gets a kick out of the number of postings for her. She asked how many earlier. I thought that was cute. She said she has withdrawal from the forum.

You heard right. She's not in town. When she texted and told me, I called Hackettstown immediately. I told her I won't post too much 'personal' info on here on the net. I'll let you know if anything changes. She appreciates the thoughts and prayers.

Earlier tonight, it was spongebath time....I don't know if the orderly consented, but HE got one anyway! ;)

Oh, Christine!! Honey, we are praying for you and your hubby now!! Please relax and rest in there, I know its hard to sleep with them buggin' ya every 10 minutes!

Lord Jesus, YOU are the Great Healer! Please guide the doctors and nurses to help Christine and her husband be as healthy and perfect as ever! They are such a wonderful blessing in our community; thank You for using them to do your work. Please be with them and allow them to rest and relax until they are ready to go home with their family.

Also, please be with their children, as it is always difficult when your parents are ill. Please comfort them, and let them know they are safe during this stressful time. Please let them see You, Jesus, in the work of others in our community. Bring others to them to help them in their time of need, as they have helped so many others in our community in needy times.

On another thread Christine wrote that her husband was admitted to the hospital on July 19 - http://www.hackettstownlife.com/forum/39125#recent. Then she was admitted on July 20. How is he doing?

WRNJ mentioned Christine several times yesterday afternoon. They were wishing her well, and just going on and on about how much she has done for the town, her good works, etc. It was SO nice of them (and very much deserved!) I hope she got to hear it! I wish I had a recorder ready so I could've recorded it for her!

Update:
She had a night's sleep...thanks to a sleeping pill. She was thankful for that! She was scheduled for a stress test. That's what she texted me at about 7am.
I don't know the results. I just texted her and she said she had a bad day and we'll talk later. I'm thinking her family is there right now. I will call her later if she doesn't call.
Keep the thoughts and prayers coming. I'm sure she's scared, although she does enough a good laugh. Let's think positive thoughts. She does so much good for the community. It's so sweet that people care so much.

The update :
Stress test ok, blood clot from leg to lung. She's doing some type of breathing test or something (it was hard to talk at the time, forgive me...). She's muddling through. I asked how long she was going to be in and she said a few days. She hates being far from home. If it were Hackettstown, we'd be holding the forum at her feet! You know how LONG days are when you're in the hospital and it's gotta be a drag when you're close to people you know that can skip over.
She did say WRNJ wanted her to be on tomorrow afternoon. They're getting calls at the station wondering on her condition. Isn't that sweet? She can't believe the fuss people are making of her being in the hospital. (she said she's 'not a celebrity) Christine, you're a hometown hero and that's what matters in life.

Yup, Karen. Celebrities are just people who luck out....Hometown heroes have people celebrate their life for what they've done. Big difference. I can't wait to bust her chops tomorrow. UPDATE: She is in rare form tonight. I have carpal tunnel from the phone texting. She is in a great mood. That is a wonderful sign. She said she's feeling much better and to let everyone know. The jokes (some too off color for here) are flying. She just sent a pic of a ginormous remote. Sure, she has time to send a pic of that, but no cute doctors? LOL
She said she will be on WRNJ tomorrow at 5:40 LIVE. (You just know what I said after that, right? lol)
She mentioned TonyS in the ER. Oh, she's back, ladies and gentlemen. LOL. She's sounding good, so the rest and meds are kicking in. ;)
This is a really good sign that she is feeling better.

Hubby finally brought in my computer.I cant be mad because he needed me to heal and get better. Now I have to catch up!! Had my test and now I have to wait for the blood thinners to work.
I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for the Get Well Wishes. It really touches my heart to know that so many people care. You people are just what the Dr. ordered.

I will try to catch up on everything but right now dont have the energy to do so. In time I will.
