room for rent for disabled father-in-law

I am hoping some one could help with my search for a room for rent for my Father in Law. He is 58 and disabled (heart condition) and must be on a 1st floor. He recieves disability and a limited income. Unfortately he can not stay with me (we have a one-bedroom). He does not require anything fancy just clean, safe, and on the 1st floor. any help would be appreciated!@!!

Have you applied at Liberty House Apartments? It is right over the border into Independence, on the corner of Route 46 and Petersburg Road. The rent is based on income, the bus around town stops there, and the manager is very nice. There is probably a waiting list.

Heritage House up from the hospital on Willow Grove St. is income based also. Very nice. Elevator.

The Warren County Dept. of Human Services is also a great resource for information and coordination of all the services that may be available. 475-6080.

Liberty House Apartments....is it just for senior citizens or is just based on low income?

Liberty used to be for older people. It has been open to anyone the last few years. They do have handicap style bathrooms. The manager over there, who I think is one of the owners is a very nice guy. The rent is regular, but they do accept things like section 8 and so on. There are also people who pay regular rent. There might be sliding income. I have heard that the walls are very thin, so hopefully you get him by another quiet person. Explain the situation to the manager. He's supposed to be a compassionate type guy.
