The intro of Ms. Brown was a disappointment, or maybe I just didn't "get" it. Ms. Brown gets heckled, the guys think she is naked, Red then takes off his shell to reveal his chocolate body, but I wasn't able to catch what he was saying......(geesh, not another Geico pig like scenario)..must be my ears.
I think Madonna was awesome. No skin, no wardrobe malfunction, no cleavage. Just a good show showing true talent. She still looks amazing.
The chocolate M&M was hysterical. Also, the Chevy commercial. You can never kill a twinkee.
I liked the little dog (pug?) running a race against greyhounds and moonwalking over the finish line. Sketchers ad, I think it was. I was only watching with one eye, as I was making doggy dinners.
What an inspiring, uplifting commercial by Chrysler...Recognized Clint's voice right off before he came on camera....perfect choice.
Must admit the Hundei commercial to the theme of Rocky got the point across as well.
The Dorito killer dog was priceless...
M&m's commercial was great. Not sure what about it was difficult to understand? He was clear as could be on my TV. The Doritos one was cute too.
Wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle!
Only Child,
Go to YouTube. Look up LMFAO's I'm Sexy and I Know It. Don't let the kids see it.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle wiggle.....
I went to Youtube for a replay of the M&M commercial....I was more attuned to it this time...it was funny.
Jonathan, it was ironic, I guess as you were telling me to go to Youtube, I was already there viewing the commercial. Thanks. My husband,an M&M retiree, and I both have come to expect a funny commerciasl from them....so the Youtube replay prooved Mars' ad agency came thru once again...only this time marketing to teens and adults!!
...and I'll confess, when it aired during the commercial break, I happened to be talking, so by the time I shut up, we didn't catch the opening setup...well at least I didn't talk during the game!
the racing pug was cute. the others didnt impress me one bit. doritos was dumb
The phone one (not sure what company or if it was indeed a phone) with "the Darkness" playing:) My husband hated that song and I loved it. We were just talking about them the other week:) It was towards the end of the game.
Once again, my vote was for Wanda Sykes to be the voice of Ms. Brown.....
the only 2 i enjoyed were the M&Ms one where red dances "naked" and the sketches commercial with the pug, we were all laughing at those 2.
some of them were so dumb....and for the amount of $$ those companies pay to have a commercial on during the superbowl, you'd think they'd also have the money to put a little more effort into making them funny and/or interesting.....hey, some people watch the superbowl just for the commercials!!
and on a totally unrelated note, i thought the halftime show was horrible. just my opinion...
I liked the one with the dog race as well. As far as Beckham, it grossed me out. I'm not a fan of so many tattoos.
half tme show was horrible and one of the performers gave the the whole country the finger before the censors could stop it.
if a musical act has that much contempt for NFL footbll and mainstream America then why accept the gig at all?
NFL should be more carefull with who they sign to do these shows.
I would be happier with a decent marching band rather than these freakish msucial acts who have no regard for NFL tradition or America in general.
dispicable!!
I loved the M&M commercial and so did my 5 year old niece who called me up and said "Bebe did you see the red M&M take his skin off and get nakey!" but now she is obsessed with that song by LMFAO. I encouraged my sister to look up the Elmo version instead called "I'm Elmo and I know it." Any who, I loved the dorito dog one and thought it was pretty funny. In regards to the half-time show, look a little bit more up on M.I.A. and you will learn this is not her first controversy. She is from Sri Lanka and rumored to have supported terrorist like groups. I thought Madonna put on a great show entertainment wise even though she was lip singing and her horrible act of the cheerleaders and her attempting to "cheer" as well was down right scary. I was also happy to see the clydesdale horses (however spelled) and the dalmatian dog for Coke.
The Fiat commercial was the most memorable. The entire time I was really wondering where it was leading. :) Very clever. Great ad!
i want boots like Madonna! :) she looks great for 52? eat your heart out lady goo-goo! LOLL!!
Thought the Dorito Dog, M&M and the Greyhound Dog race were perhaps the funniest. Some of the Budweiser commercials were pretty good too for historical keepsake.
Pepsi went back to the polar bears and used the same animations that was cool maybe 10 years ago. They really needed to hit it big and lost.
darluggh - I agree that she looks good for her age, but if we had her money and plastic surgeon we would look good at her age too. LOL
calico: amen sister! and a nice young boyfriend :) hehehe.. i was always a fan of madonna
I watched the 1/2 time show and never noticed the "flip-off". Just watched it online and I see how I missed it. It was not noticeable. No biggie! Too much is being made of it. Liked Madonna but not the cheerleader song.
CS, the polar bears are Coca-Cola. Was I the only one that just didn't "get it" with those?
We thought Weego (bud Light) was the best of them. We laughed so hard when he brought out that Keg
I felt like running out today to buy a Chrysler - I was so moved by the commercial with Clint Eastwood. Just amazing !
After watching this year's commercials, it may be time to dust off Spuds Mackenzie. I agree Brother Dog, Bud Bowl should make a come back. For many of the Super Bowls during the 90's, Bud Bowl was the best game on TV.
