The Bachelor (with Ben)
So who else is watching tonight and what do you think so far? I don't know why, but I've always loved watching this and The Bachelorette. Two hours that help me forget my problems and thank God I'm not like some of these wacko chicks! They do give me a good laugh though. Of course the producers know what their doing by letting these girls get liqoured up and we see them getting so emotional (Jenna-what a mess!) and starting lots of drama.
It's funny how some have their little things they do to make them stand out. From one showing up with their grandma to the last one riding up on a horse.
BEST comment of the night was them showing one girl saying, "screw you and the horse you rode in on!" LOL

How many couples have hooked up from this show? There was that annoying barbie doll & the cowboy from one of the first few seasons, but I can't recall any others. Maybe that's because I don't watch it......just get my news standing in the check out lanes at the overcroweded Mansfield Shoprite reading People Magazine, munching on soon to be inedible food.........................................JUST JOKING!!!! I watched it. Looks like a pretty good season ahead. My favorite was when Ben sent that girl home who walked right by him when she got out of the limo. That'll teach her! Lol
pvmom these girls are batty. i liked maybe 3 of them. the crybaby is annoying and so is the girl who made her cry, but of course he will keep both of them forever lolol to keep the drama.
icicle I read the spoiler last night that tells the final 4 and the "winner". Who knows if it's accurate, but now I feel a bit like the kid who peeked at her Christmas gifts.
I agree with icicle none of these girls yet are jumping out to me. I can only really stand 2-3 of them. I like the brunette that had to give up a lot to raise her siblings. She seems so sweet, drama free and true to herself.. the girl that cried last night was just ridiculous and really annoying!
HeatherS Yowza! This show gets worse and worse each season. The girls they find to cast are really awful. Not that it should matter, but none of them are even that pretty. Jenna fancies herself Carrie Bradshaw but she is obviously working the cameras and hoping to get seen by some casting agent. She's beyond awful. Nobody can be that crazy in real life. How can these women stand to watch themselves on television when the show airs? The show is blatantly scripted--why else would he keep the drama queen and the lesbian? It's too much. But I have to watch. :o)

Tracy Did anyone else notice Jenna's wierd mouth movements on the first episode. They didn't show her much last night and she got the boot, but what the hell was that?!
And the model, can't remember her name, what's with her mouth? Some kind of lip injection/implant/"enhancement"? It's distracting...

I have to agree with Missrx and Amommy. I don't watch the show, but when I see this season's bachelor on the commercial previews, the Geico caveman always come to mind!

Lori...since '73 Lori, that's what makes it so entertaining. The girls are mostly busted too. It's fun just watching women go bat $h!t crazy over some dumb guy. The relationship will never last, they never do. But it's hilarious to see how it plays out.

I don't find him attractive either, but he seems like a pretty upstanding guy on this season and on Ashley's.
He is a very nice guy, but so not attractive. If that's the consensus here, pretty good demographic, the rest of the world must agree, no? I heard the ratings weren't as good this season, so far.
I kinda wish he would've kept Chantal. She's a smart cookie and not a drama queen like the rest of them. Can you imagine FAINTING when you think you aren't going to get the precious rose??

I wish we could skip right to the Women Tell All episode. It's probably going to be so good! I think it's so funny that he sends home the girl who gets 1 group date and 1 one-on-one and says they don't have time to get where he is with the others----but he keeps Kacie (Courtney's friend) and that other girl---who we barely ever see. Then sends home another girl he had a nice date with and a good connection. This show is so entertaining but frustrating. I felt bad for Elyse. It's not her fault she didn't get picked for dates, but then Ben blames her for being so far behind. What a douche.
I just watched this weeks this morning and all I have to say is WOW! I dont see how he is so blinded to Courtney. She is such a snobby b*tch! She definately is not their for him and their just for the "winning". I would love to see his reaction when he watches the show back and sees everything she says!
As for the two girls that he sent home this week my heart breaks for them. They were so true to him and themselves. They did nothing wrong at all. Its totally his loss not theirs!
As for Kacey B I had liked her from the start and I hope and pray he ends with her. Next week looks interesting. Wonder what happens to the blonde!

I love, love, love, this show...it's good, and there are some real girls on there...it's a great opertunity to find love and vacation for free! I like Ben and find him real and honest. Courtny is good tv and I believe he is already in love with Casey B : )

Anybody still watching this? I am still watching it, but liked the girl that went home tonight (emily). I'm almost to the point of fast forwarding through Courtney's scenes because I can barely stand to watch her play with her hair every 2 seconds. That said, I'll continue to DVR every episode and watch it to the end! it's such a guilty pleasure of mine :)
I cannot believe he kept Courtney last night. If more than 1 person tells you to watch out for her, wouldn't you at least consider it ??? Is he blind. And I agree pvmom, I hate watching her play with her hair. She is soooooo full of her self and I don't even think she is that pretty. And doesn't Ben ever here her catty remarks that she makes like at the rose ceremony ????? If he picks her he deserves to be made a fool of, which is what will happen. I am rooting for Kacie !!!!!
I'm still watching, hoping for something I know isn't going to happen. But I realized last night that Ben is pretty much a douche, so he and Courtney deserve each other. The other girls are too good for him.
I had a hard time keeping dinner down while watching the Courtney scenes last night.
I agree with you all about Courtney. She's so trashy and childish, especially with her "See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya" comment at the rose ceremony.
It's amazing how she lost "the spark" for him so quickly when just 2 episodes ago she was playing naked chicken with him in the ocean and now that she got her airtime again, she has found that spark again. Please! That's her way of making sure he keeps giving her lots of attention by making him think he will lose her if he doesn't.

Well....I think Ben knew many episodes ago who he truely is attracted to and it is not Courtney for the long haul. But......she will stay around till the end just for the ratings!!! Just wait and see.

I was thinking the same thing last night about the wine...I mean I love me some wine but - not every minute of every day. I thought Kacie was in for the long haul Now I am guessing it is Lyndzi ( is that the crazy spelling)? I don't think she is that pretty at all - not that it matters but not a beauty like some of the others. I thought her family was great and I do like her.

Jumping in a little late here. I thought the same thing w/ the wine too... how do they get away with it? I am also wondering how come all the girls always say "Ben planned the most romantic date"... don't they know at this stage that it's the producers? I always get a little chuckle.
I was so sad when I was watching the home visit w/ Kacie B. It was uncomfortable and I think you could even see when they were on the bleechers prior to that just how on edge Ben felt. She seems to be a big sweetheart and I hope she finds her prince.

The more I watch this, the more I realize what a putz Ben is. Beyond his choice of women, it's really pathetic to see how it's all about him. When Kacie B was there, he was so concerned with what she said about Courtney, that he gave her absolutely no compassion. I get the show IS about Ben, but I don't like that he's playing Mr Nice Guy for the cameras, and then his actions say something different.
Ben is such a jerk he deserves what he gets at this point (and his hair is ugly too LOL) How many women have to tell him about Courtney and he chooses to believe she is ok because she says so? geesh!
Crazy Cat Lady I didn't get to watch the whole thing (was gonna do that today), but I did turn it on at the last minute and saw the rose ceremony. I don't think I really need to watch the rest of the episode now.

Kacie B is a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres show at 4pm today on NBC(Channel 4). It will be interesting what she has to say. Ben is not thinking straight if he picks Courtney at the end.

I was shocked that he sent Nikki home. What is it w/ Courtney??? I almost feel that its obvious he is going to pick Lindzi so the producers are having him keep Courtney around for the buzz. Anybody else think that could be the case? I haven't really ever heard another bachelor declare he loves somebody as much as he was about Lindzi (or however you spell her name!) as he was this past episode.
My favorite part was when Ben told Courtney he didn't like the way she treated others....uuummmm...isn't he the guy who is trying on women like clothes and deciding if he likes them? I know when I fell in love with my husband in the end it was a feeling like no other I had experienced. I couldn't and wouldn't spend the night with two other men just to make sure I was correct. I like the show for the pure entertainment value and to see where they go next, but as a premise for finding lasting love? Yep, no!
I know I am jumping into this thread late, but I just need to say this.
Next week is the episode with all the girls talk, because he picked Courtney the girls will not be able to call her on anything that she has said or done. If Ben picks her, he deserves everything he gets, she is just there to win and be seen, she doesn't love him in the least.
rodeosweetheart Can't wait to see how hard Ben defends Courtney's actions next week. This week's episode was total damage control. Her copping to the way she acted---totally scripted.

I can't believe but I am actually feeling a little bit sorry for Courtney. She has some major issues and seems antisocial to me.
kimberlysea The average person cannot seem to be successful with their relationship without all the pressures of the media so it is not surprising to me that Ben and Courtney have had set backs. The one thing I have learned about relationships is: that they make little sense to anyone on the outside looking in. All you have to do is take a look around to understand what I mean.
He is boring and lame; she's nuts and a fame chaser. There is zero percent chance of them working out. He shouldn't have given the ring back to her.
Reggie Voter The only thing that makes sense is that he took the ring from Chris, and they are going to sell it and split the $$$. There's no way that those two are staying together.
Lol Reggie voter I agree!!! You know what if they do end up working out they deserve each other. His crying did nothing for me last night. He was well aware of how she is behind closed doors and he chose the path to be with that. He dug his grave now e has to deal with it.
Good for lyndzii sh deserves better and on the news today she seems happier then ever :)
