Nikkon's store

I have heard about a deli/liquor? store called Nikkon's. I am not sure of the spelling of it either. Anyone know where is it located?
Thanks

It is spelled Nykon's and it is out on 46 West in Great Meadows on your left if coming from Hackettstown. It is a little before St. Peter and Paul Church.

It's actually Nykun's. It looks like an old house, "A TREAT" sign and phone booth near the road. VERY OLD but it has everything! And if they don't stock it, they'll get it. Bob is the owner, very nice.

I worked at Nykuns for years. Bob and Kathy are the best people to work for and yes they really have everything. If you dont see it ask for it. Its either in the basement or the upstairs and if that fails dont worry they will order for you. WINE galore... again he will order you whatever!!

I went in there one night looking for cranberry cocktail light and they didn't stock it - next time I went in there was a shelf full! They'll get whatever you want!

Yes, Nykuns! Very wonderful people. They DO need a new sign, though. It took me a long time before I realized that it was an actual store! LOL!! It looks like someone's house! I'm sure they would get a lot more business if they had a legible sign that made them look more like a convenience store.

just me...Traveling on Route 46 West towards Great Meadows. Nykun's is located on the left hand side. It is after places like Herbies, RDJ's( gas station), Middle School in Independence and the municipal building in Independce and BEFORE St. Peter and Paul Church, and Hope Rd. It does look like a house. They have a wonderfull deli which has your typical deli meats. You can also tell Bobby about special requests. I always ordered my prime rb or filet for the Christmas and Ham from Bobby. Outstanding. Bakery items are also great. As far as everything else..it is a regular little grocery store. Larger that a conv store smaller that a grocery store. PLUS full beer, wine and liquor ( ask to be shown where this is) Movies rentals, and a mish mosh of a million other items. Rule of thumb is ask. More than likely they will have it somewhere. Nothing is to far fetched or bizarre to ask for. Coffee always on, all the newspapers, cigarettes. I have known Bobby and Cathy for 20+ years. Great place, great people.

WHAT? there's a liquor store that close to me and I never knew!!??

(oh, wait, now I sound like Calico! LOL)

I had no clue there was wine there -- I've always gone in to ShopRite Liquors, but Nykuns is so much closer to me!

Thanks for mentioning that firefly!

They've got a healthy stock of blue jello, you know - the real sticky stuff. Could be a real treat at the H.L. End of the summer shindig!
