Tearing down the old Firehouse in Independence

So sad to see this building go. They started to tear it down this morning

I wish the Great Meadows School District would have been able to purchase the property for additional needed space in the district, but it never worked out- probably because of budget constraints.

I heard the bank bought the building and is going to use it for parking

as a bit of history slips a way we must remember that the fire co served us all well from this location and it the building will be missed as i drive by.
