Mich

I don't think that Rebecka, was implying that you are dumb, but after that response "rude" may be on the list...

No it's called being nervous. That's why I asked on here instead of using google..I also checked webmd..Sometimes people on here go through the same medical conditions..

Mich - Don't you work at a hospital? I would think info would be plentiful there.

Calico,
Thanks! I was going to ask the same, but figured that responding twice could be perceived as "picking on" someone...

Lori,
I think everytime I have posted on this site you have had something rude to say. When did I ever say you were picking on someone? You don't know me.

Calico- Yes I do but I'm not gonna go and ask any dr when they are not my dr. I don't have an appt till the 13th and reading a report saying u have lung disease is pretty scary.

Mich- look under COPD ( chronic obstructive pulmonary disease ) or emphysema.

MIch, if your so nervous why wouldn't you ask a doctor rather then a forum.

Some people like to do some factfinding on their own, in a variety of ways, while they await a doctor's input.

I wrote this while waiting for his call back. ( Im sure you know how long this can take)Thought maybe someone on here at some point experienced the same thing..

Mich its my experience thats what they call it til they do all the testing to pinpoint the reason it is happening.

good Luck!

Mich,

Maybe you could ask the doctor for an earlier appointment by letting him know you are a bit nervous about the diagnosis. He might be able to get you in.

Best of luck to you.

Simmer down people. This forum is beginning to have an uninviting climate. The OP was looking for someone who has gone through it before. They where not looking to be bashed while they are already awaiting life changing scary news. Ahhhhhhh!!!

Mich - I do not really know much about it. If you get a more accurate determination, feel free to post it. I may be able to relay some info as my father has conditions that may relate. Good luck and I hope it all works out well.

I don't understand. A lot of people on here ask others about their medical problems. I've seen threads about women issues, thyroid issues, and a host of others, and no one picks on those people.

Why is everyone giving a hard time to Mich for asking a question? I'm sure whatever he/she was told is scary and asking others about it isn't a bad thing, while waiting for the Doctor to call.

I agree with Rich. Why is everyone giving Mich a hard time. I could understand that just because you work with Doctors doesn't mean you want them knowing your personal business. Give her a break, I would be scared too. She asked a simple question. I hope everything works out fine.

Mich asked a question like many, many others have over the years!!!

Mich, I'm sorry....

Thanks guys:) Clyde~I was not asking for advice, I was asking if anyone has had lung disease before or does now...My Dr told me not to worry about it and keep taking my inhalers which don't help..It can be a number of things. I am a worrier and it prob is nothing

Mich,
I'm sorry you have to deal with such rude remarks when you are obviously already under a lot of stress. I hope your doctor gets back to you soon with a clear explanation and everything works out for the best. Good luck.

shoebie,

you seem to grasp it. the whole issue I had with Mich was the fact that Rebecka (who never has a bad word to say on here) tried to help and got a RUDE (but now we're calling it "nervous") response...

Thanks Ryan like as if people don't know about google. That's the 1st thing I did. A comment like that would make anyone feel like she is saying they don't know what they are doing? Plus the link she posted was from a previous thread to where I think they were also saying "duh use google"

Christine, when I first posted this, you were the 1st person I thought of. Reading all the posts on here, it seems you have been through alot. That's exactly what a nurse here told me. That they have to call it that till they find out what it is..Thanks for that:)

I have to admit, while I wouldn't look for a diagnosis from any "doctors" on this forum, I do look for personal experience from people that post here. Do I always pay attention or believe 100% of what I'm told? No I do not, but it has given me things to think about when talking to my doctor or dealing with whatever situation its about, & eased my worries (and I am a worrier) or gave me direction on whatever it is I'm asking about. Honestly, this forum gets uglier every day with no question asked or comment made, getting criticized to no end. Maybe someone can come up with a list of what's ok to ask and what's not, what's ok to post and what's not. Then, when someone wants to post, if it's not on the list you can flag it as "NOT ON APPROVED LIST" Jeez!

LOL Bessie...Thanks for understanding..That's exactly why I posted it..Just to see if anyone been through this..My Dr pretty much said it's nothing major..Not to worry. But of course I will. My bloodwork all came back fine so I will talk to him at my next appt.

Mich: Someone on HL recommended the book "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind." I'm reading it and I love it. So here's a thought. Every night before bed, say "Every cell, nerve, tissue and organ is now being made whole, pure and perfect. My whole body is being restored to health and harmony." Your subconscious will believe it.

What the heck, it can't hurt. Good luck to you.
