pool recommendations

Can anyone give me recommendations on who to use or who NOT to use to put in an above ground pool? I know some of the companies are horrible, and don't want to use someone who doesn't do a good job. thanks!

I used MC Construction. They were on the installers list for our area that was given to me when I purchased my pool from Branch Brook. Excavator came out to level the spot on a Monday - paid him direct. Installers came out at like lunchtime that Wednesday and were done and had a hose in the pool slowly filling it by late afternoon and were cleaned up and gone by dinner. Its been 3 seasons and knock on wood no problems.

We used MC Construction as well for our pool from Branch Brook. My DH watched the install, and they were very quick.
We still have them close our pool each year, because my DH is a bear about that. They work out well, since you don't have to be there for the closings. We're on our 8th season.
We also had them install a new liner a few years after we had the pool. The liner that came with the pool kept slipping down out the tracks, so we had them put a new over-the-wall liner in. Much better.
And we also have problems with cracked skimmers each year, so a couple times they put one on for us. Highly recommend them.

not sure if we will go with an above ground or in-ground. Any recommendations out there if we go with an IN-GROUND??

I would have to dig through my pool file to see. Branch Brook gave me the number originally. It was a 570 area code if I remember correctly. I'll try and remember to look later tonight after the kids go to bed.

FYI to all you new pool owners. This is the busiest time to get a company to install a pool. We made the same mistake and had to wait a whole year before we got anyone to install it. So if they dont call you back you know why. Make sure you have all your permits in hand and all your supplies also. ie. sand, fill etc. Good Luck!
