Weight Challenge because I like competition!
As some of you already know I have been on a challenge with team at my job. I have now lost 16 lbs. I started at 166.4 and brought it down to 150.8. I am very proud of myself. I have become the biggest loser here on site and hope to be an even bigger loser here when I reach my goal of losing 30 lbs. My first goal was to reach 10 lb. mark. My second was 15 and now I would like to reach 20 and keep steady until losing 30. I have a time frame. 30 lbs. by June 4th my 30th birthday. I am asking everyone to keep me motivated and asking anyone who wants to join me on this weight loss challenge to help keep it going..... IT'S SPRING.... LET'S START WALKING!!!! Instead of HL HH we should meet up to walk a few miles during the week....daylight savings and nights last longer now....stop making excuses.... I know we can all use the help and extra encouragement. So, anyone willing to join me? Please contact me. I think this would be something great for everyone!!!
Weekly monitored weigh in's are key....we do not need Weight Watcher's if we help each other out.

I walk every day with my dog, and we are always up for company! E-mail me privately and let me know what area you plan on walking in, and what times you are generally available and maybe we can get together sometimes! I've found it to be very true that planning out exercise sessions really helps motivate to stick with the program. Its especially helpful to schedule walking with someone else because it makes it much more difficult to cancel!
I generally would be walking evenings around 6 and 8. I will get in touch with everyone tonight when I get home.

Fabulous to have lost 16 lbs!!! Good for you, PepperCat, that's really an achievement.

Congrats Pepper (I mean Meow...LOL). 16 lbs. is a huge amount of weight to lose, you should be very proud! I'm a runner not a walker, so I guess I won't fit in. If or when you get up to running let me know. You can come run with me in Oxford past all the spooky houses....LOL
Turkey Brook in Flanders, anyone's neighborhood in H-town...mine is decent and we can have weekly weigh-in's at my place if you want. My apt complex leads into a really nice housing complex... a few hills I would say at least 2 miles or so.
In regards to running, I am training myself to sprint... I am told to spring a few times and you will build up to running. I just jog and walk for now. I start again tonight and proceed into this nice weather. I also take people's dogs out if they cannot make it after work or are busy with kids..... so throw your dogs my way or come join me!

How far do you normally sprint/jog? I've always wanted to be a jogger or runner but have a really hard time with it, but would be willing to give it a shot! Maybe trying with someone else would push me a little harder than I push myself.
Calico, I'm a runner myself where do you normally go to? I like a change of scenery sometimes haha.
I just pick areas in a neighborhood... go as fast as you can until your heart rate races and then stop....and walk and keep doing it until you reach an entire block. I was told to pick utility poles or mailboxes or something as a marker point....sprint to every utility pole, then walk and continue....

I'm defenetly up for the challenge, I just started challenging myself a few weeks ago with weekly weigh ins and alotta working out, I 've only lost 4 pounds so far,(was 184) it would be great to have someone to compete with...let me know when and where you go, am in and out the gym lately, and I have free wk for a guess maybe you can come as my guest and do a spin class or something with me let me know.
