What's their X-'Cuse, Clyde?
None, thats why I like the Conference Tourneys. Still will be a #1 I think. Same thing happened to North Carolina last year, and we know where they ended up when the dust settled.
Personally, I'm not sold on 3D-TV and have no plans to buy a set any time soon.
The other option would be to watch it at a bar. What is a bar going to do if they decide to cater to the 3D game, buy 50 sets of glasses? I doubt any bar in this area would make the investment right now. So, CBS can show it in 3D; I doubt many people will be watching.
CBS is showing the Final 4 in 3D in 100 select theaters across the country , not on 3D tvs which are now just coming onto the market . And even if that were the case , at $150 a pop for active battery powered shutter glasses , no sports bar in their right mind would invest that much in an as yet unproven technology . I say unproven since stats show 1/3 of all people viewing 3D in theaters get headaches from the experience . Time will tell on whether 3D for the home is a viable tech or just a gimmick . Until then the early adapters willing to pay thousands to be the test subjects will be the barometer of which the future of 3D tv is determined . Much like the people who payed 10-15k for the early 42" 720p plasma sets - now on the market for $500-$600 bucks . Or on the more negative side , those who rushed out to buy a Betamax for 1k , only to see that format fall by the wayside to VHS - available a few years later for a mere fraction of the cost .

Good link Zombo, but in the same story it says CBS is also reaching out to cable and satellite providers about sharing the love
Yeah the Engadget HD site is a good one . To update - as of now while it doesn't look like the basketball games will make it to 3D tv , Comcast will broadcast it's first 3D sports event ever when it broadcasts the Masters golf tournament in 3D . Of course you have to be an early adapter and pay the high price for one of the new 3D sets (the older DLP 3D capable sets could also work with this tech - not sure) and the 150 bucks a pair shutter glasses . Looks like Comcast found the return of Tiger Woods too good an opportunity to pass up for it's first 3D sports airing . Maybe I'll stop at one of the electronics stores next weekend to check out a demo - saw a DLP 3D demo 2 years ago in a Mitsubishi tractor trailer at the Electronics Expo parking lot in Wayne NJ and it was pretty cool . But a big buck paying early adapter for flat panel 3D I'm not !

Ian, told you "The Cuse" will be a #1. BUT WHY IS PUKE's err Duke's road made so easy? Kansas is the overall #1, but Puke gets to play the winner of the play-in game? Shouldn't the 1 seed play the lowest seed? The tournament is in cohoots with CBS about ratings. No Carolina, no UCLA, No UCONN, so let's pave the way (FOR RATINGS) for Puke
Hey Mr. Potts please stop picking on the 2010 ACC Champion Duke team. A little jealous of the Blue Devils?
GO DUKE!
Myself, and 4 of my friends I grew up with can beat Puke............ok maybe 20 years ago lmao. Now Puke MIGHT win by 3, in 2 ots
Seton Hall sacked their coach after last night's blowout loss in the NIT... I wonder if they gave him train fare home from The Rock.
