Merlin Olsen dies
I don't know nothin' 'bout no Father Murphy, but Merlin Olsen was one of the greatest NFL color commentators of all time when he shared a booth with Dick Enberg. Best duo ever... without a doubt. He was also a great defensive lineman who made up the Fearsome Foursome for the LA Rams with Deacon Jones, Rosie Grier and LaMar Lundy. The world is a slightly darker place today....
I don't know anything about Father Murphy either, but do know a lot about his football career. RIP.
Little House on the Prairie is a bit too sickly sweet for me. But Ian don't forget they had Jack Youngblood and Hacksaw Reynolds in front of them during their rookie years that was the later years for the Foursome.
Those LA RAMS were great ! Reminds me of the days of Bob Lilly,Buck Buchanan , Roman Gabriel, George Allen, and the Purple People Eaters. Merlin was one of the best lineman of his era.
Olsen is in the Pro Football & College Football HALLS OF FAME
Also was the commercial spokesman for FTD Florists for many years.
On Father Murphy he was disguised as a priest to help a group of Orphan children find a home
I dont know anything about that stupid football crap, I am talking Little house, FTD, and I think he was on Highway to Heaven too.
JA - Talk about stupid crap....Little House and Highway To Heaven are two of the worst TV shows ever.
It's a crying shame that Michael Landon is remembered for that bunk!
Little House ruled... I used to root for Nellie Olsen to get over on those do-gooder Ingalls brats, but she never did... I always rooted for Wile E. Coyote, too.
LOL, Calico, I would have to put Bonanza in that same worst TV shows ever category. So what should Michael Landon be remembered for, "I was a Teenage Werewolf"? Now, THERE's a piece of cinematic gold (-;
