Corey Haim Died
Twenty years ago it would have been shocking to hear that Feldman outlived him. Feldman couldn't deal with fame; Haim couldn't deal with the lack of it...
All I'm picturing in my head is the part in Lost Boys when he's in the bathtub all soaped up and singing...LMAO.
We just rented the Lost Boys last week. I had read that the show Corey & Corey (never watched it) was canceled due to his drug abuse and Corey F not wanting to deal with it. I guess this was just a matter of time, but still very sad. RIP
Another drug addict bites the dust , Feel bad for his family and those he left behind I know it sound harsh but when do we stop saying what a shame RIP
Can't say I really feel bad for him. It's tough to feel sorry for someone who squanders all their wealth and opportunity away with drugs. I tend to feel sorry for the law enforcement officials who lost their lives fighting the drug war and not the dealer/addict.
With that said, The Lost Boys is one of my favorite vampire movies.
I can't say that I fear sorry for anyone who overdoses on drugs either. they made their own choices and the consequences are theirs as well.
However, the people who die as direct result of the war on drugs are all victims, cops and dealers alike, and the government is to blame. The government has no right to deny people their free will to consume whatever poisons they want to. Whenever they try, they create this huge potential for criminal enterprise that will never be ignored and sacrifice the lives of public servants trying to enforce the unjust laws... whether it's alcohol in the 20s or crack in the 80s, make it illegal and it will become a huge source of illicit income. F-you-type income. The cops can't fight that and they shouldn't bother to try.
He was also great in Firstborn - partially filmed in Rockaway Mall and Morristown. He was looking so "worn out" lately.
