Camp Bernie
I'm a Mansfield mom with Kindergartener and I will need to find a full-day (M-F) summer camp this year. Does anyone recommend Camp Bernie (it's very close to our home) or are there any others in the area?

curly Camp Bernie stinks! My daughter had a horrible time. They just leave them there to draw. From 4 - 5 pm the kids just stand there waiting for pickup. No balls or anything to play with while waiting. Counselors are just there; a job to them.
Lucy i went to camp bernie when i was younger so about 13 years ago i loved it then I dont know if it changed or not. it was over night and I did horse back riding and you could chose from different activities you wanted to do. it was fun. and my counselor was amazing i actually think she may still work there. she made me feel so comfortable.

I too am from Mansfield. My son currently goes to Kiddie U day care and is 4 years old. However, I was hoping to change it up a little for him this summer. I was looking for a good camp full time Monday-Fri....say 9-5 and for the months of July and August? Could anyone make a recomendation?

jennifer mckerry I have to disagree with Lucy about Camp Bernie. They offer a wide variety of activities and have caring and enthusiastic staff. Also, the 4-5 hour is not part of their regular camp program, it is extended care for parents that need to pick their children up a little later.
RRB, I agree with you, sorry that Lucy had a bad experience. found the staff very caring and energetic. Loads of activities for the kids, all pertaining to the age level.
Would not hesitate to send my child there.

They pick up and drop off at the mansfield theatre and also Great Meadows Middle School if that is more convienent for you instead of dropping off and picking up.
