Dr. Chi's moving to Boston Market
Hi all,
I was just at Dr. Chi's this morning, little boo came down with pneumonia, and his secretary said Dr. Chi bought the former Boston Market building and he'll be moving there soon. No exact date yet.
It'll have 5 exam rooms and 2 separate waiting rooms, 1 for well visits and the other obviously for the sick patients. And he WILL NOT be taking on any new doctors. He's still by himself. The justification being that everyone will only want to see Dr. Chi.
There's a possibility he might have extra space left and will possibly lease it out to another doctor...just a possibility at this point.

OMG I almost had a heart attack! I thought the title said "Dr. Chi is moving to Boston!" lol
Excellent. The only thing that could make his practice better is a slightly larger space. I appreciate the two waiting rooms. I had heard he has a daughter who might be joining him in the practice?? That has not been confirmed by any reliable source.
BTW Boo, my son walked around pneumonia while under the care of another office in town for 2 months - we had no idea obviously - we switched to Dr. Chi & voila! Diagnosis and treatment within hours.
Yay! for Dr. Chi. I was just there the other day and meant to ask him if the rumor I heard was true, but I forgot. I just love Dr. Chi and I am glad that he is moving to a bigger place, the extra room will be great. And I agree I want to see Dr. Chi not someone else, unless maybe it was his daughter.

so i guess the rumors that he was planning on retiring are untrue if he is buying a new office!
Mommyof2 I dont think he has any plans on retiring anytime soon. He is still taking on new clients and bought a new office and is expanding. I am so happy for this, I just love Dr. Chi.
CagedAnimal I was there the other day also and asked and yeah it's true. I am so happy for Dr. Chi and that his office will be bigger. I like the idea of the extra room.

Can someone please tell Dr. Chi to go get a sign that says 'Coming Soon: The New Home of Dr Chi's Pediatrics'? Maybe the BID can help him out and get him a good deal on a sign.
mommmy2be Maybe he'll open a small Boston Market that sells side dishes only. Wonder if he will have drive-thru appointments???

Does anyone have a number or the new address for the DR. We just moved here six months ago & were using Plaza up until yesterday. I'm not familar with Boston Market. Thanks!
Debbie & Keith I don't know the number or street address, but it's located on Rt. 57 at the intersection with Mountain Avenue (Rt. 182)--just up and across the street from the Riverstar Diner.
Tracy I think he is still at his old address next to KFC on Mountain Ave. He hasn't moved yet has he? My kids have an appt there next week and they didn't say anything to me.
I LOVE DR CHI! He is amazingly popular yet you hardly ever have to wait. He answers his phone from home (as does his wife) and sees every new born baby after they are born! The staff nurses said he always comes no matter what time. The pharmacist loves him, everyone I talk to loves him! So glad my precious children can be in his care. And yes, every new patient gets a bucket of chicken and gravy.
gds Thank you for the address, I'm so glad to hear such nice things about him. I learned for myself about our previous doctor and should have listened to the warnings I received about the practice.

Debbie & Keith, I have always loved Dr. Chi. I took my now adult children to him, and they now take their children to him. He is an institution in Hackettstown. I recommended him to a friend recently who was having her first baby and she did choose him. When she was in the hospital after her baby was delivered, one of the nurses asked who her peditrician was. She answered "Dr. Chi". The nurse said "right choice". And they are the ones who really know the doctors. If you get a recomendation from a nurse, you can be pretty sure you made the right choice.

Anyone who is his patient, would aleady get a mailing to announce it. Seems more like advertising at this point.
INeedMoreCowBell INMCB - Dr. Chi doesn't need to advertise. It's all by word of mouth that he is the best doctor in the area.
