earnhardt Do they still call it NASCAR. I thought it was the Jimmie Johnson Invitational. I think Roush and RCR will be much more competitive this year. It will be interesting to see what happens to Junior if he has another sub par year in championship level equipment.

Here's my prediction for the 88. Another subpar season sends him packing. The guy is a great driver, but he can't get a grip on these "new" cars. He either takes JR Motorsports to Cup or joins RCR. Kevin Harvick leaves RCR and either brings his Nationwide team to Cup or joins Stewart Haas. Kasey Kahne leaves the mess that is Petty Motorsports (or whatever it is called now) and drives for Hendrick next year.
As for Danika, "See Erin Crocker!" I think Kurt Busch wins the championsip this year.

Denny hurt his acl in his left knee playing basketball. Is waiting til the end of the race season to have surgery on it.

While I've watched NASCAR, how could you not watch any kind of sport in this house, I've never been loyal to one guy. I've been loyal to the M&M car when it never won, but I think it's time I put my loyalty to a person. I will have to do my research before the Great American Race... I have been to the Pocono's for racing twice and have to admit, they are a verrrrrrrrrrry interesting crowd to watch.

Ok, I've done some looking around and though this not the popular pick, I've adopted Kyle Busch. I'm supporting the local business and he has a great website, love the car, he's my guy! Joined his fan club, will keep up with NASCAR this year. Who knows, maybe I'll even get to a race.

Minus the two delays, that was the best 500 in years. Great racing, no big wrecks in the beginning of the race.
Just wondering if any NASCAR fans also follow Formula 1. Some think that NASCAR shows a lack of culture and Formula 1 does. To me, they're all cars going around a track or following a course. What makes one better cultured and one not?. As you know, I've just joined NASCAR watching and now find that I have a lack of culture.

They won the race after passing a car while under a caution flag ? I don't know the rules involved but that sounds like scoring a basket or touchdown during a time out .

Jay I dont get it, this thread says Nascar not Formula 1. I dont go on you I hate teachers, governemnet sucks, football rocks threads and try to take it over. If you dont have anything to say on the subject or just want to bash it, what point does that make.
Point, hmmmm. Take the drag race where a tire killed a spectator; they didn't cancel the remaining races -- no class. NASCAR has done the same (tire killed spectators and the show went on). In Formula 1 they stopped the race out of respect for the dead. So, did I hijack -- yes. Do I have a point -- yes. Does anyone else want to absorb the truth -- who knows...
JA, my fault for bringing the Formula 1 into the thread. Since I don't know much about racing, and Jay's opinion was Nascar and Formula 1 was the like the difference being having culture and not having culture. I thought what better place to get some opinions that weren't Jay's, from real racing fans, LOL about the difference in the two. I thought they were all just cars racing around. I kind of liked Earnhardt's explanation.
I changed up my fantasy team for today's race. I'm running Hamlin, Logano, Hornish Jr and Burton. Will see how that works out.
Anyone surprised that Edward did not get suspended? Not me. It was said at the beginning of the season that NASCAR would let them race this year. Let's see where this goes from here. Keselowski might put a timed bomb in Edwards car at Bristol.

I was not surprised Edwards was not suspended. To suspend him would set a precedent which would go against the "drivers policing themselves" policy Nascar has preached. To tell you the truth, since Kesolowski was not hurt, I think Nascar is loving this! Did you see all of the empty seats in Fontana (expected) and Atlanta? Still tickets available at Bristol?!?
Am I the only one who's fantasy team is KILLING THEM!!!!!?????? UGGGGH! I should have run Hamlin. Yikes, he's my driver and always a VA track favorite. I layed off him though due to his knee injury and put Gordon in for my A Group. Rassan frassan &*%$#@!!!! If Hamlin wins, I'm gonna spit!!!!
I'm happy that Denny won, but I need fantasy points!!! At least Gordon and Newman finished well. Menard not bad and Harvick a disaster. Anyway, did pick up 276 points on the week.

Here's the latest from the NASCAR website on Denny. His surgery was a success and he is expected to race in Phoenix on 4/10. Mears will be standing by in case he needs to get out.

The all star race was again great. Loved the last 10 laps. What a difference 10 laps make. I am okay with Kurt's win, not sure why its okay for him to win since I hate his brother. Hate that Kyle, he is such a jerk

48 jimmy johnson was advertize in lowes lawn mowers at the end was real chopping the grass i felt bad for ernheart too

Ryan (ligitty) I didn't see the race as the Eagles were playing at the same time. What did Denny do? I mean obviously he won, but what happened? Was there a controversy?
JA - You can't make a cheater statement like that and not provide any other info. You're leaving us hanging Girl.
Ryan - I read about three different articles about the race and didn't see anything. Denny is my driver, and like I said I didn't see the race as the Eagles were busy beating the Colts :)
