Re-Style Boutique Consignment on Main StreetI drove by and saw the grand opening banner and stopped in to check it out. There were some really nice "high end" clothes and accessories--very reasonably priced. The owner (Carolyn) was super nice and patient with me and all my questions! I bought 2 Coach purses (one was brand new!) and a really beautiful vintage sparkly necklace with a matching pin. I would have bought more but the credit card machine was not working yet--(should be up and running tomorrow) I will definately be back this week to look through more of the merchandise! The shop is at 302 Main Street--right across from the Hess station. I parked in front but was told there is more parking in the lot behind the store. The shop is a nice addition to Main Street. Dec '09 Right across the street? What building is it in? The old music cafe? The old mattress store? That's nice. You sound like you own it. lol. I like the shop by the produce place on Main Street. I can't find the listing of second hand stores someone put up once with the Salvation Army and such. I am glad people are recycling clothes either way. Vintage is nice! Used to be a nice shop in Chester. Bought gowns there. Dec '09 It's the building between the old Music Cafe and Julia's Design. Dec '09 Coach purses? I may have to stop by and check that out! Wonder if they'll have later hours this coming Friday for the Hometown Holiday event? Hi, this is Carolyn, the owner of Re~Style Boutique Consignment. Dec '09 Exciting! I've been patronizing the consignment store in Morris plains. I'll see you there on Friday! What are the hours...I WISH I GOT COACH PURSES BEFORE YOU DID! Haha...thanks for the info:-) I stopped by this afternoon to check it out. Very nice--clothes are all clean, and not thrown around. This is not a thrift shop, but an upscale used clothing store. I wish Carolyn well, and will stop in when I have more time. Check it out-- I stopped in too but there wasn't much for me. I personally think the prices were too high. Jeans were $18-$22. I looked at a sweater and it was $26.00. A little tiny yankee candle real tiny was 5.75 when brand new they are 7.99 or something like that. However I wish her the best. Dec '09 I looked at a Lands End cotton sweater, and it was $9, and I checked out an Ann Taylor black and red pantsuit for $26. They weren't my size or I might have bought them. But all the clothes are clean, and the place doesn't smell like a thrift shop does. Does anyone know if it is open on Sunday? I guess I could just call tomorrow. How much was the Coach bag? I have a handful of Coach bags circa late 90s that I do not use anymore. I always wondered if I could sell them...eBay, Craigs List, etc....just never have. Maybe this would be easier:) Dec '09 Hi Carolyn here again Dec '09 Carolyn- I didn't mean to offend you. To be honest when I was in there people were buying stuff. It just wasn't for me. I personally think your shop is very cute and clean. I really do wish you the best and even when I left I told some people to check it out. So again I'm sorry if I offended you. The only suggestion I have for you which some have mentioned is you need big sign that says parking in the back. Also, let's see if I can explain this one you need a sign that is out pointing towards the road. I drove by it the first time since the sign was flush with the building. Dec '09
Dec '09 Hi Disappointed, Dec '09 I went there today. Carolyn was very nice. I liked her store. I bought a bracelet for my daughter. I will be going back often and checking out all the new and different items she gets in. Good Luck Carolyn. Any more coach purses? Then Ill check it out :) IN all seriousness, I plan on stopping by soon. Congratulations on your new shop Carolyn, my name is Sharon. I have a childrens consignment shop in Blairstown and have loved every minute since the day I opened. I was in the store Friday night, and really enjoyed myself. Carolyn is friendly and helpful as were the others working that night. I purchased a purse, and will definitely shop there again. It is a fantastic store, and for those of you in need of coach bags i will be bringing mine in to sell sometime this week so come to her store and check it all out. wishing you much success Carolyn!!!!! I have a couple of purses to bring in... do you take hockey Jersey's signed and unsigned? I was also thinking E-bay but maybe someone in town would rather by them. I have a lot of hockey NJ DEVILS items... let me know. Dec '09 This shop is a fantastic idea! I will have to visit this weekend. Are we able to try the clothes on? Dec '09 Rose..Absolutely you can try on anything in the store...come by.. I stopped in today and what a beautiful shop and the owner was so nice and friendly too. Lots of gorgeous clothes and I thought the prices were very reasonable. I didn't have to park on the street because there was a lot in the back. Reminded me a lot of Encore Consignment. I loved Encore Consignment..that was my first experience at shopping and selling at a consignment shop. OMG this might be the answer to my prayers. My closet is overflowing with labels, logos and designer things, some never worn or carried. (Recovering clothes hound here... lol) Hi Rebecka, Jan '10 Well I had the pleasure of stopping into Re-Style Boutique on Sat. The decor, the clothing and accessories in fact everything is first class. Carolyn I enjoyed chatting with you and will be in soon. What brands of designer jeans are you selling? I have a bum foot right now due to minor surgery, but I am itching to come see the store. :) Oh also you said you're open on Sundays in Dec, was that just for the holidays, or are you still open on Sundays? Sandy wait for the official response from Carolyn but I think they are closed on Sunday and Monday. Hi Sandy, Feb '10 Love love love Re-Style! I shopped there before the holidays but haven't made it back since. Will be back soon, Carolyn! Best of luck! Thanks for the answers. Let us know when you reopen on Sundays, that's really the only day I can get there. Can't wait to see the store! Just did some shopping today at Re-style and she has some fabulous stuff. If you haven't been there yet do yourself a favor and check it out. I think its important to support our local businesses so you may as well have fun shopping while you do it. If I have some things I'd like to sell, should I make an appointment first? Are there only certain days that drop-offs are accepted? Mar '10 I am sure Carolyn will answer this but I thought I would let you know that yes you do need to make an appointment with Carolyn in order to drop off items.
