cc As far as I know, you can't do a direct search for a mixed breed on Petfinder (not plural), but there are a lot of them that come into shelters - it just takes time and patience to find them. Please don't support puppy mills or unhealthy breeders when searching for a mixed breed.. I speak from experience having found the best mix in a shelter!
DogLuvrYes, please avoid pet shops and puppy mills and bad breeders. Do you really have to have this kind of dog, there are hundreds being given up right now, dogs that are healthy and have done nothing except to be a victim of the economy. Try a local shelter, save a life.

Seems like the "doodles" are already in shelters too - guess that was a trend that didn't take off.
Rescue a dog from a shelter, they have a lot of love to give - put the puppy mills out of business (and that means pet shops who sell puppies as well as some "reputable" breeders)
