I want to play soccer! Who's in??25 year old male here, looking to play soccer during the evenings in the Summer into the Fall. There are other threads (some of which I have started) talking about casual, non-aggressive games of soccer for adults. People seem to show interest at first but no one seem to suggest a place and time to commit to. Volly Girl - where is the field of Dreams? i can do this thursday school starts next week so its a no go for me after that katy come this Thursday and we'll talk about planning a second or better time and day that people can play. I supposed if it's not raining we can still play. I'm not sure how many people we have confirmed though. Some of us could try to make it to meet up with other HtownLifers .. but I'm not sure I'll be able to go. So ... not one person showed up. Not one! How did that possibly happen? My sister and I (and my nephew) were waiting by the Hackettstown High School front entrance from 7:25 to 7:40. We decided to start kicking the ball around at the soccer field closest to the entrance since no one was showing up. Sooooo I'm not really sure happened here folks. I invited my nephew (he plays for the town's travelling team) along since I kind of figured there was going to be a shortage of players but I didn't think it was going to be a no-show. my apoligies ryan i was there at 630 not 730 if you are going to plan this again can we do 630..... i truley mis read this post b/c 730 is impossible for me with my schedule and my daughters dinner/sleep schedule Hi everyone I'm very interested if it's Thursdays around 7pm, I'm 34 (man) and like soccer so much it has been a while though, RyanoMAC let's schdule something for Thur 7/09 anywhere you want, we should have at least 12 players so it's gonna be 6 against 6. I can't get to the fields any earlier than 7:30PM so if people want to play then I need email confirmations of 10 people coming sent to ryanomac(at)gmail.com before I plan anything. I'm not going to plan something and have a no-show again. I haven't had 10 people email me so I guess there's no game Thursday. I actually play somewhere else on Sunday (Belle Meade) so unless there's an overwhelming number of people playing Sunday, won't be able to do it then. well if ryan can't make it this time, lets all meet 7-7:30 at the one on air port road by the walmart at the top of the hill. also its right behind donaldson farm. and we'll play with who ever shows. i know me and three buddys will be there tomorrow! Hey John - pretty decent start today even though we couldn't get a proper game going quite yet. Was good to meet you too. It takes a while to get people involved but fun when they finally do. Congrats :-( thursday i have class til 9 i really want to play where do u play on sunday I play in Belle Meade. It's a moderately intense game but still a lot of fun. If anyone want to car pool down there, I might be able to help out. John - I think it's important that we keep posting a NEW post on HL and Craiglist every time we have a soccer thing going on. It'd be cool if at least one of us can plan to be at the fields each Thursday night so it becomes a routine game. Even if we get people from neighboring towns, that's cool. It'd be nice not to have to drive to distant towns all the time just to get in on a game. So...did anyone play soccer last night? I'm hinting to my husband to go as he loves soccer and right now his only outlet is coaching 10 year olds. He loves it but it's not the same as playing with the guys. And he works from home so he needs another reason to get out of the house once in a while, LOL. we played 5 on 5 yesterday were hoping more people come so we can play a full game SOCCER - July 30th - 7:30PM Please send me a message if you're interested in playing soccer Thursday evenings and/or Sundays.
