Free CatI have gotten a gray cat , my neighbor was allergic and was going to send her to a shelter so i am going to be a foster mommy hopefully for a very short time. I am not allowed to have cats at my apt and i already have 1 of my own. She gets along well with other cats is not fixed. Just had a rabies shot this fall. She is an indoor/outdoor cat very lovable and likes to cuddle. I had alot of people over this past weekend and she was out and about rubbing on legs and purring def not afraid of people. I am pushing it with my own cat right now so i dont want to get caught with a 2nd one. She comes with a littler box dry food and wet food jugs that auto refill a wet food dish litter track mat scratch post some toys if i can find them no carry case if you have room for one more loving heart let me know i really dont want her to go to a shelter :-( Was born July 08* and is fully litter trained :-) I know every one wants a kitten but she is great and not that far from a kitten only and needs a good home My only advice is that whoever adopts this cat, since she is an outdoor cat, please get her spayed so that she cannot have kittens - there are already so many homeless cats in the world already and it doesn't have to be. There are vets who will refer a person to a clinic for spay/neuter services at an affordable price. Jun '09 Agree 100% with the spaying. Not sure why it wouldn't have already been done if she goes outside. I agree 100 % to and i am working on getting that done if she is not gone soon she was pregnate when i got her so i have already re homed all 3 of her kittens I hear you katy, vets are not cheap. Was wondering why the neighbor hadn't gotten it done. Because they are pretty much useless im sure they knew at 40 years old they where allergic to cats why they got one is beyond me. Have you considered Common Sense For Animals? Chiman, CSA is not currently taking animals since they didn't pass state inspection. Call the North Shore Animal League in Port Washington, Long Island if you're willing to do the 2hr drive. Jun '09 CSA has about 200 cats from what I have heard, the cat will be in a cage for the rest of it's life. Jun '09 Huh Pat? Their website says that they only have a few? How would it even be legal for them to have that many and not have them seized upon inspection? I don't believe this to be true - they may have a few but I doubt THAT many (put it this way - I certainly hope not that many!) Jun '09 Had a freind who adopted from CSA and she said the number of cats they had was amazing - meaning they had a LOT. I understand wanting to rescue these cats, but if they are stuck in a cage for months on end, what kind of life is that? It is not humane to me. Jul '09 just bumping up this thread for you katy. is there any way you can take a picture to post up here...even if it's just a cell phone pic? people are a lot more likely to be interested in adopting a pet if they see a picture... Its been so long that i think im in love.... I dont know that i can give her away at this point although she might hate me after this weekend when she gets fixed :ox but thank you I'm happy to hear such a good update, even if it's breaking apartment rules.. heck, the landlords rarely ever care or find out about cats! Jul '09 o that's great! she won't hate you for fixing her...it's a lot less painful than her getting pregnant & having to give birth, lol! at least she gets drugs for the spay surgery. well she should anyway...make sure you tell the vet to give her pain medicine. i had an experience once where the vet didn't & the poor cat could barely stand up afterward she was in so much pain. good luck! Good for you Katy, I have one here that I adopted by me He cost me 720.00 to put the poor thing back together. the most loving animal ever, also a ferrt, that someone dropped off in my yard, in the middle of the winter. Your kitty will never forget that you gave her a loving home, believe me they never forget. lol yea i love her i think she adopted me :o) i am hoping they dont find out and hell if they do its one less cat out in there complex re creating they should be thankful yea i couldent see her going to a shelter after getting so use to it here now i jsut need to keep my fingers crossed my landlord does not freak if they find out Leave a ReplyTo comment on this topic, fill out the form below.
