Born and raised in Havana, Cuba, pianist, composer, and arranger Jesus "Chuchito" Valdes Jr. is the third-generation manifestation of a Cuban jazz piano dynasty that includes his father, Chucho Valdes, and grandfather, Bebo Valdes.
